This frequently asked questions (FAQ) list gives answers to common questions related to LOBSTA applications and services.

What is the difference between Tracker and Category

To some Tracker and Category seem to do the same thing. However, categories are used to additionally allow more fine-grained classification for a tracker type. Trackers however allow individually customized workflows and configurations.

Is it possible to work with LOBSTA without internet connection?

LOBSTA Manager is a web service and requires internet connection. However, limited offline support is provided through LOBSTA integration with SMASH, a digital field mapping application with offline capabilities.

How to prevent users from deleting issues accidentially?

Administrator users can configure in LOBSTA's role and permission settings which roles are allowed to delete issues and other content.

Are there any other protections besides user ID and password?

Yes, there is. Depending on the security policy of each organization, a two-factor authentication function can be added if desired. There is no additional cost, but each organization must have a smartphone with an application for two-factor authentication for each person who logs in.

Is it possible for more than one person to log in to the same account?

It is possible. However, it is not recommended to share accounts. And it's not necessary because LOBSTA does not charge by users or projects, unlike many other Internet services. So you are strongly advised to create an account for each person.
