Welcome to the LOBSTA User Manual! Most of LOBSTA functionality is based on the open-source task manager Redmine, and LOBSTA gives it a geospatial twist! This page gives a general overview of how the User Manual is categorized and how to use it.
About User Manual
LOBSTA documentation, better known as the User Manual, is guided by a division of 3 main subjects:
User guide, first starting in LOBSTA Manager
Covers most of the day-to-day functionalities regular users will face when using LOBSTA, which is everything related to project management. A user may not have administrator priviliges, and may encounter limited functionality seen in the documentation.
Administrator guide, first starting in LOBSTA Admin
Covers the administrative and configurable functionality of the LOBSTA application. Only an administrator can view and configure what is written in this guide on the LOBSTA application.
Developer Information
Covers difficult application knowledge and plugin background. This section is entirely optional for reading, as it offers more behind-the-scene information that may not be relevant to a user using LOBSTA.
How to use
Side Navigation Menu
On any page, you will view two side menus at all times, on the left and right side of the screen. The left hand side contains a navigation menu for the User Manual, which you can use to view how the documentation is organized and acquire quick access to other pages of the documentation. The right hand side bar contains the headings of the page you are currently on, in which you can view how the page is organized and allowing quick jumps between headings.
Links
As you read the manual, you will find multiple links in bold that reference other relevant documentation found in the User Manual. Words linked in italics redirect to the respective word in the glossary to remind the reader of their meaning in the context of LOBSTA.
Admonitions
Throught the documentation you might see the following boxes, called admonitions. These admonitions highlight important information according to their color code.
Information Box
This box provides some additional notes.
This box contains useful tips and tricks.
This box indicates to be careful.
This box calls for your attention.
Versions
Some manuals or individual sections may be available for different versions of LOBSTA software and applications. Please make sure to select the version of the documentation that matches the version of your software.

LOBSTA Documentation is licensed under Attribution 4.0 International.
This license requires that reusers give credit to the creator. It allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, even for commercial purposes.
